Mouhamed Saer Sene (born May 12, 1986) is a Senegalese professional basketball player who last played for the Austin Spurs of the NBA Development League. A center, he is noted for his shot-blocking potential because of his 7 ft 8½ in (2.35 m) wingspan. ==Career== Aged 20, he was drafted 10th overall by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 2006 NBA Draft. On January 10, 2007, after having received little playing time, he was assigned to the NBA Development League's Idaho Stampede.〔(Sonics assign center Mouhamed Sene to Idaho Stampede )〕 In the 2007–08 season, Sene received an honorable mention for the All-NBA Development League teams, after playing in 28 games for the Stampede (starting in five), with averages of 12.4 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 28.2 minutes per game, with highs of 30 points, 18 rebounds and seven blocks. He continued to have little impact with the Sonics (13 games, 62 minutes). On February 19, 2009, Sene was waived by the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was called up from the Albuquerque Thunderbirds by the New York Knicks on April 9.
